1. About ARRISE & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and ARRISE – Academy for Research & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Innovation and Sports Medicine Excellence ("ARRISE", "we", "us"), with registered office at Dorpsstraat 11, 2950 Kapellen, Belgium, VAT BE 1234.567.890.

By accessing our website at arrise.be, creating an account, booking an appointment, enrolling in a course, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

These Terms are governed by Belgian law, in particular the Belgian Code of Economic Law (Wetboek van Economisch Recht / Code de Droit Économique).

2. Services Provided

ARRISE offers the following services through this platform and in person:

Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy

One-on-one physiotherapy, sports medicine consultations, and guided rehabilitation programmes provided by RIZIV/INAMI-recognised practitioners.

ARRISE Academy

Professional development courses, webinars, and training modules for healthcare professionals and students.

Charity Shop

Sale of rehabilitation-related products and equipment. Proceeds contribute to the social mission of ARRISE.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. Minors may only use the services under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account details up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • ARRISE reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or are used in violation of these Terms.
  • Patient accounts are created and activated by ARRISE staff. Self-registration for patient access is not available.

4. Appointments & Cancellation Policy

4.1 Booking

Appointments may be booked online via our integrated scheduling system (Crossuite), by phone, or in person. A booking confirmation email will be sent to the email address on your account. It is your responsibility to verify the confirmation details.

4.2 Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee as communicated at the time of booking.
  • ARRISE reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged to the patient.
  • Repeated no-shows (3 or more) may result in suspension of online booking privileges.

4.3 Medical Emergency

ARRISE does not provide emergency medical services. In the event of a medical emergency, call the emergency services (112) or proceed to your nearest hospital emergency department.

Important Notice

  • Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Content relating to physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or sports medicine is intended to support, not replace, the relationship between a patient and their qualified healthcare provider.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, modifying, or discontinuing any treatment or exercise programme.
  • ARRISE accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of website content without professional consultation.

6. Academy Courses & Educational Content

  • Course enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
  • Course content – including videos, handouts, and other materials – is protected by intellectual property rights. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without prior written consent from ARRISE is strictly prohibited.
  • Certificates of completion are issued upon fulfilment of all course requirements as specified per course.
  • Refund policy: Cancellations made more than 14 days before course start are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable, but the enrolment may be transferred to a future session at ARRISE's discretion.
  • ARRISE reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel a course. In the event of cancellation by ARRISE, a full refund will be issued.

7. Shop & Orders

7.1 Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in euros (€) and are inclusive of applicable VAT unless otherwise stated. ARRISE reserves the right to modify prices at any time; however, orders already confirmed at a given price will be honoured at that price.

7.2 Right of Withdrawal (Consumer Right)

In accordance with the Belgian Consumer Law (Book VI of the Code of Economic Law) and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers (natural persons acting outside a professional capacity) have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at info@arrise.be. Return shipping costs are borne by the consumer.

7.3 Exceptions to Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to (a) goods made to the consumer's specifications, (b) sealed goods unsealed after delivery for hygiene reasons, or (c) digital content once download has begun with the consumer's consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website – including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, videos, course materials, and software – is the exclusive property of ARRISE or its content providers and is protected by Belgian and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

The ARRISE name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks of ARRISE. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or other users' accounts
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature
  • Harvest, scrape, or otherwise collect personal data from the platform without our express permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including ARRISE staff or healthcare professionals
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to access the platform in a manner that exceeds normal human usage

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Belgian law, ARRISE and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our services, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury not caused by our direct professional negligence.

Nothing in these Terms limits ARRISE's liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Belgian law.

Our aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to ARRISE in the 12-month period preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or integrated services (e.g. Crossuite, partner sites). These links are provided for convenience only; ARRISE does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites. Accessing third-party sites is entirely at your own risk.

12. Modifications to the Service or Terms

ARRISE reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice. We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, our services, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent website notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Belgian law. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp (Antwerpen arrondissement), Belgium, unless mandatory consumer protection provisions provide for a different jurisdiction.

Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform for out-of-court resolution of disputes.
